Ananya Panday’s style quotient is unmatched. Armed with a slew of celebrated stylists, the Call Me Bae actor has made her mark in the hearts of fashion critics and brands. Panday rocks Western as well as ethnic, and does not shy away from playing around with silhouettes and textures.
A recent look of hers takes a fresh and floral spin on the traditional blouses we generally pair our saris with. Panday keeps it simple yet bold with a bustier made out of wreaths of white flowers, paired with a yellow and white checkered cotton sari. Soft messy waves, bare feet and a dainty nose pin were her choice of accessories. The pictures also had her posing with a floral weave covering her head, from Diaries of Nomad.
Harshita Gautam, founder of the brand, shared that the ‘moon veil’ was inspired by the traditional ‘phoolon ki chaddar’ and includes “over 800 hand-rolled white Chanderi flowers tucked by hand on a spread of ivory pearl moti.” A labour of love from our artisan women, the dupatta is handmade by 10 ladies over a period of 7 days, she said.

In a campaign for Indianwear label Anavila, the Gehraiyaan actor was also seen posing for their collection Payanam, draped in a handwoven linen plaid sari refashioned as a blouse and paired it with a menswear spun silk and zari handwoven veshti.
The blue and red plaid fabric works in contrast with the metallic bronze bottomwear. Messy tousled hair tied loosely with a gajra, soft pink lips, kohl-rimmed eyes and blushed cheeks accentuated with a septum ring and black bindi give her a soft girl next door vibe.
A third look has her wrapped in a black silk sari, with the pallu draped in a halter neck. A messy bun and contrasting blue and white gemstone-studded bracelet complete her look.
