
HSSC Police Constable Recruitment 2026: The Haryana government and the Haryana Staff Selection Commission (HSSC) has announced a notification for thousands of constable positions in the police department. Notably, applications for this recruitment are completely free, encouraging more youth to participate. Both male and female candidates can apply for these positions based on their eligibility. According to the advertisement issued by the Haryana Staff Selection Commission, a total of 5,500 constable positions will be filled in the Haryana Police. This include 4,500 posts for Male Constable (General Duty); 600 posts for Women Constable (General Duty); and 400 posts for Male Constable (GRP). (Image: File Pic)

The online application process for this recruitment will commence on January 11, 2026. Interested candidates can apply until 11:59 PM on January 25, 2026. Separate notifications regarding the admit card and exam date will be released later on the HSSC website at hssc.gov.in. (Image: X)

For BCA/BCB/EWS candidates, the supporting certificate must be issued on or after April 1, 2025, and valid as of the application deadline. For DSC/OSC candidates, the certificate must be issued after November 13, 2024. Additionally, for ESM (Ex-Servicemen) family members, the certificate must be issued or updated on or after January 12, 2025. (PTI photo)

For all positions in categories 1 to 3, candidates must have passed 10+2 from a recognised board or institution. It is also mandatory to have studied Hindi or Sanskrit at the matriculation level or above. The Commission has clarified that no additional weightage will be given for any higher educational qualification beyond 10+2.
