Augsburg player Robin Fellhauer, who had to be stretchered out of the field during his side’s fixture agianst Bayern Munich in the Bundesliga, was dischagred from the hospital on Sunday.

The 27-year-old midfielder suffered a concussion following a collision with Bayern defender Sacha Boey in stoppage time in Augsburg’s 2-3 loss to the Bavarian giants.

“Our number 19 has now left the hospital following yesterday’s collision. He has a severe concussion and is doing as well as can be expected under the circumstances,” the club said in a statement.

“The FCA family wishes you a speedy recovery and we’re keeping our fingers crossed that you’ll be back on the pitch soon,” the club added.

Bayern Munich narrowly escaped a late Augsburg comeback on Saturday, securing a 3-2 away victory in Harry Kane’s 100th match for the club.

Following his eighth league hat-trick last week, Kane set up the opener 28 minutes into the game, delivering a beautiful chip for Serge Gnabry to head in.

Luis Diaz, who missed an easy chance just two minutes into the match, redeemed himself by scoring Bayern’s second goal, drilling the ball through a crowded penalty box in first-half stoppage time.

After scoring six goals against RB Leipzig a week earlier, Bayern seemed headed for another dominant win when Michael Olise outsmarted the Augsburg defence to score his team’s third goal in the 48th minute.

However, the home side pulled one back in the 53rd minute, with Kristijan Jakic reducing the deficit with a well-placed strike.

With only minutes remaining, Mert Komur slotted the ball into the corner, giving the hosts hope of a dramatic comeback.

The match extended into a 10th minute of stoppage time, as Bayern successfully held off their Bavarian rivals.
