The registration process for the Bihar DElEd course for the 2026-28 session has started today, December 11, 2025. Interested candidates can apply for the DElEd Joint Entrance Examination 2026 on the official website of Bihar School Examination Board (BSEB) at bsebdeled.com. The last date to apply is December 24, 2025.
Candidates who pass the DElEd Joint Entrance Examination 2026 will be allocated colleges based on merit and preference. This exam will offer admission to over 30,000 seats across the state. The website lists the names of the 306 colleges offering admission to the DElEd course and the number of available seats. Successful candidates will be eligible to apply for teaching positions from Class 1 to Class 8, although passing the TET will be mandatory.
Bihar D.El.Ed Admission 2026: Eligibility Criteria
Educational Qualification: Candidates planning to appear for the Bihar D.El.Ed. Joint Entrance Exam 2026 must have achieved at least 50% marks in Class 12, with a 5% relaxation for reserved categories. Furthermore, individuals who have passed the Maulvi exam with 50% marks are also eligible to apply.
Age Limit: All candidates applying for this examination must be at least 17 years old as of the first day of the first month of the admission year.

Bihar DElEd Exam 2026 Exam Pattern
The exam will consist of 120 questions, each carrying one mark, and will last 2 hours and 30 minutes. Questions will cover various topics, as follows:
General Hindi/Urdu – 25 questions
Maths – 25 questions
Science – 20 questions
Social Studies – 20 questions
General English – 20 questions
Reasoning and Analytical Ability – 10 questions
To pass the Bihar D.El.Ed Joint Entrance Exam 2026, candidates from the unreserved category must score at least 35% marks, while the limit for reserved category candidates is 30%.
