BMW F 450 GS: test mule details
F 450 GS appears to be near production ready
While the recently discontinued G 310 GS long served as BMW’s entry-point into the ADV world, the F 450 GS promises to be a more serious off-roader. Although the heavily camouflaged test mules didn’t give away too many design elements, the overall silhouette is quite similar to the F 450 GS concept. The beak-like front fender, single headlamp and tall windscreen appear very similar to the concept bike.

One of the most notable differences is that unlike the cross-spoke wheels showcased originally, this test mule appears to be running a set of alloy wheels that were also found on the G 310 GS; they come wrapped in a set of Eurogrip Duratrail EB+ tyres. Both test mules also appear to be equipped with some luggage accessories. It is also worth noting that while one unit appears to be equipped with a set of handguards, the other isn’t. It remains to be seen if the F 450 GS will be divided into two separate road and off-road biased variants.

Expect the production version of the F 450 GS to break cover sometime in late 2025, likely around EICMA. An India launch could follow soon after, positioning it well below the F 900 GS in BMW’s line-up. Upon launch, the F 450 GS will rival the likes of the Royal Enfield Himalayan and the KTM 390 Adventure.
