This recruitment drive aims to appoint between 44,000 and 46,000 teachers across various departments, including the Education Department.
Vacancy Details
The Education Department has submitted the highest number of proposals for positions. The total distribution of posts is as follows:

Subject-wise Vacancies:
The Education Department indicated that the largest number of positions will be filled in subjects with a significant teacher shortage. These subjects are Mathematics, Science, English, and Commerce. Due to the scarcity of teachers in these subjects, they will be prioritised in TRE-4.
When Will The Application Process Start?
The BPSC Secretary mentioned that the notification will be issued in March 2026. The online application portal will open once the notification is released. Candidates are advised to have their educational certificates, caste certificates, residence certificates, and other necessary documents ready in advance. A detailed notification will be published on the official website soon.
Many schools in Bihar still face a teacher shortage. Over the past few years, lakhs of teachers have been recruited through TRE-1, TRE-2, and TRE-3, but the need remains unmet. TRE-4 will significantly address this shortage. This recruitment is a golden opportunity for the several young people who have been preparing for years and wish to join Bihar’s education system.
