The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) is expected to release the Central Teacher Eligibility Test (CTET) answer key 2026 soon. Once out, it will be available on the official website, ctet.nic.in. The CBSE held the CTET exam at various centres across the country on February 7 and February 8, 2026. The exam was conducted in two shifts on both days. The first shift was from 9:30 AM to 12 PM, and the second shift from 2:30 PM to 5 PM.
After the provisional answer key is released, candidates will have the opportunity to submit objections. Candidates can challenge any question they believe is incorrect. To object, a fee of Rs 1000 per question must be paid. Only paid objections will be considered. The objection period will be limited, and the board will announce the dates soon. No objections will be accepted after the deadline.

Primary Teacher (PRT):
Candidates teach grades 1 to 5. To be eligible for this position, candidates must have a Diploma in Elementary Education (D.El.Ed) in addition to the CTET qualification. Their responsibilities include delivering the curriculum for all subjects, creating a healthy learning environment, and monitoring student progress.
Trained Graduate Teacher (TGT):
TGT teachers instruct Classes 6 to 8. They must possess a Bachelor of Education (B.Ed.) degree, a CTET qualification, and a graduate degree in any field. They are responsible for developing and presenting curricula, introducing students to various methods, and encouraging creative expression.
Post Graduate Teacher (PGT):
PGT teachers educate Classes 9 to 12. They must hold a B.Ed. degree, the CTET certification, and a postgraduate degree in the subject they wish to teach. They prepare students for entrance and board exams, specialising in higher secondary courses.
Teacher Trainer:
Experienced teachers who are qualified by the CTET can enrol in training programmes to become teacher trainers. They can instruct CTET candidates on subject knowledge and pedagogy.
