A Class 6 student died under suspicious circumstances at his school hostel, leading the police to launch an investigation, officials reported on Wednesday.
Superintendent of Police Rajesh Dwivedi stated that 13-year-old Anurag, a resident of Kasganj district, was staying at the Gurukul School hostel. reported PTI.
On Tuesday morning, the class monitor discovered Anurag with blood coming from his nose and ears when he went to wake him up. The boy was immediately taken to the hospital, where doctors pronounced him dead, according to the officer.
Dwivedi mentioned that although the family has not yet lodged a formal complaint, six police teams have been formed to investigate the case, the report added.
Along with Additional Superintendent of Police Diksha Bhawre, Dwivedi visited the school, recorded statements from fellow students and staff, and instructed officials to expedite the investigation.

Earlier in June, a shocking event unfolded in Ahilyanagar, Maharashtra (formerly Ahmadnagar). A 13-year-old eighth-grader fatally stabbed a 15-year-old tenth-grader during their lunch break following a disagreement over a cricket match. The accused was later placed in an observation home before being presented to the Juvenile Justice Board (JJB), as stated by a police officer.
Authorities suspect the murder was linked to ongoing disputes between the families of both boys, who are neighbours. The incident transpired at a school in Ahilyanagar on Wednesday when a quarrel erupted between the two students over a cricket game around 3:30 pm during the school mid-break. As the conflict intensified, the 13-year-old attacked the 15-year-old with a knife, stabbing him in the stomach and head. The victim was promptly taken to the district hospital, where he eventually succumbed to his injuries. According to media reports, the deceased student’s father mentioned that both boys lived in the same area and had an old dispute regarding cricket.
