The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has released the provisional answer key for CTET 2026, ending the wait for millions of aspiring teachers. The answer keys for both Paper 1 and Paper 2 were made available on the official website, ctet.nic.in, on March 12, 2026. This update is crucial for candidates who took the exam on February 7 and 8, 2026.

To challenge any answer, candidates must pay a fee of Rs 1000 per question. The last date to raise objection is March 15.

How To Download CTET 2026 Answer Key?

Candidates can download their answer key and response sheet with the following steps:

Step 1. Visit the official website, ctet.nic.in.

Step 2. Click on the ‘CTET 2026 Answer Key Paper 1 & 2’ link on the homepage.

Step 3. Log in by entering your roll number and date of birth (DOB).

Step 4. Your provisional answer key will appear on the screen.

Step 5. Download it and compare your answers.

CTET February 2026 Key Challenge Direct Link

CBSE has provided a window for candidates to challenge the provisional answer key. Candidates have two to three days to raise objections. If a candidate believes an answer provided by the board is incorrect, they can challenge it with supporting evidence. A fee of Rs 1000 must be paid online for each challenge. A team of experts will review the objections. If the objections are valid, a final answer key will be released, and the fees will be refunded.

How To Calculate CTET Score?

There is no negative marking in the CTET exam. Add one mark for each correct answer and 0 marks for wrong or unattempted questions. The total number of correct answers will be your probable score.

CTET Passing Marks

Candidates must secure the minimum qualifying marks to obtain a CTET certificate:

General: 90 marks out of 150 (60%).

Reserved Category (SC/ST/OBC/PwBD): 82 marks out of 150 (55%).

CBSE has clarified that this is only a provisional answer key. Final results and mark sheets will be available on DigiLocker after resolving any challenges.
