CUET UG 2026: The National Testing Agency (NTA) has extended the application process for the CUET UG 2026 exam. Online applications for CUET UG 2026 began on January 3, 2026. The last date to submit the form and pay the fees was scheduled as January 30. Now, it has been extended till February 4. The last date to pay fees is February 7.
“In continuation to the Public Notice dated 03 January 2026 regarding submission of online application form for CUET (UG) 2026 and in response to the multiple requests received from candidates to extend the last date for submission of online application form, NTA has decided to extend the last date for submission of online application form for CUET (UG) -2026, enabling the aspiring candidate(s) to apply for the said exam,” states the NTA notice.
The NTA has tentatively scheduled the exam from May 11 to 31, with a detailed timetable set to be released later. This entrance exam’s scores will facilitate admission to over 300 universities across the country, including Delhi University, Jamia Millia Islamia University, BHU, Aligarh Muslim University, and Allahabad University.
CUET UG 2026 Application Fee
General Category – Rs 1000 for up to 3 subjects, Rs 400 for each additional subject
OBC-NCL/EWS – Rs 900 for up to 3 subjects, Rs 375 for each additional subject
SC/ST/PwD/PwBD/Third Gender – Rs 800 for up to 3 subjects, Rs 350 for each additional subject
Eligibility Criteria For CUET UG 2026
To be eligible to apply, candidates must have passed the 12th examination from a recognised state or central board, or, must have passed an Intermediate or two-year Pre-University examination from a recognised university or board. Those who have completed the Higher Secondary Certificate Vocational Examination are also eligible to apply. Candidates who holds a Diploma recognised by AICTE or a State Board, with a minimum duration of three years, or have passed the Senior Secondary examination conducted by NIOS with at least five subjects may apply. Those who have completed the final examination of the two-year course of the Joint Services Wing of NDA are also eligible to apply.

Step 3 – After registering, log in to your account, complete the application form, and make the payment.
Step 4 – Click submit and download the confirmation page.
Step 5 – Take a printout of the registration form for future reference.
