If anyone redefined maternity fashion this year, it was Deepika Padukone. From printed, flowy maxi dresses to chic bodycons, Padukone turned heads throughout her pregnancy in silhouettes that caress her baby bump. After welcoming her daughter with husband Ranveer Singh in September, the new mother made her first public appearance last night at Diljit Dosanjh’s “Dil-Luminati” tour in Bengaluru.
Looking effortlessly cool in an oversized white t-shirt paired with faded blue denims and white trainers, Padukone jumped on stage to shake a leg with Dosanjh on this viral songs. Open hair with easy breezy waves, a stack of bracelets on her wrist and minimal hoop earrings completed her concert look.
Dosanjh, sporting an all-black ensemble with billowy harem pants, a mesh full-sleeve vest, and his signature turban with a hint of red, brought his signature energy to the stage. During the concert, Padukone joined him on stage, dancing to his viral hits and even sharing a light-hearted moment teaching him Kannada. At Dosanjh’s request, she taught him the phrase “Nanu ninna preeti suttene,” which translates to “I love you.”
Sharing a backstage video on Instagram, Dosanjh praised Padukone for her talent and humility. “Kitna pyara kaam kiya hai inhone. Apne dum pe Bollywood mein jagah banayi hai. Bohut bohut pyaar aur shukriya (Such lovely work she has done. She made a place for herself in Bollywood on her own. Lots of love and thank you),” he said.
