Delhi Nursery Admission 2025-26: Application forms will be available from December 4, with the first list of selected candidates out on January 23.

As private schools in Delhi disclose their nursery admission criteria for the 2026-27 academic year, distance emerges as the most significant factor, with some schools assigning up to 80 points out of 100.
Indraprastha International School in Dwarka allocates 55 points to applicants within 0-12 km, 45 points for 12-15 km, and 35 points for those beyond 15 km. Additionally, 15 points each are given for siblings, alumni, and staff wards, reported PTI.
Tagore International School in East of Kailash awards 50 points to children within a 4-km radius or covered by school transport. For first-born children, it grants 30 points and 20 for second-born, along with 10 points each for siblings, alumni, and staff wards.
Sudha Acharya, Principal of ITL International School in Dwarka, highlights that their criteria also focus on distance, sibling preference, alumni connection, and staff wards, emphasising proximity as a practical factor and the importance of long-term family associations.
Darbari Lal DAV Model School in Pitampura gives 80 points for applicants within 0-2 km, 70 points for 2-5 km, and 60 points for 5-8 km, with sibling and alumni categories carrying 10 points each.
New Green Field School in Alaknanda allocates 60 points for distance, 10 for siblings, and 15 each for parent alumni and first-born male child or girl child categories, PTI reported.
Amity International School in Saket assigns 30 points for neighbourhood or distance, 20 for siblings and staff wards, and 30 for alumni.
The Directorate of Education (DoE) has released the full admission schedule. Application forms will be available from December 4, with the first list of selected candidates out on January 23. The revised structure includes Nursery and KG in the foundational stage, followed by Class 1.
NK Bagrodia Public School in Rohini allocates 70 points for neighbourhood, with specific points for various distance ranges. Siblings and staff wards get 20 points, and alumni 10 points.
Sanskrit Public School in Chanakyapuri assigns 30 points for distance, 25 points each for siblings and parent alumni.
St. Michael’s Senior Secondary School on Pusa Road prioritises practising Christian minority applicants with 40 points, followed by 30 points for distance, 20 for alumni, and 10 for siblings.
For the 2026-27 year, children must meet specific age criteria for Nursery, KG, and Class 1 as of March 31, 2026, with potential age relaxation of up to one month at the school’s discretion.
All recognised unaided private schools must upload their admission criteria and points for open seats by November 28. The deadline for form submission is December 27. Schools must upload applicant details by January 9 and release point allocations by January 16. The second list will be out on February 9. Parents can seek clarification between January 24 and February 3, with the entire process concluding on March 19.
A district-level monitoring cell will ensure compliance. The DoE reiterates that schools must not use criteria previously abolished by the department and must follow the Rights of Persons with Disabilities Act. Schools are instructed to clearly display point distribution on their websites and upload details of selected students. Any draw of lots must be conducted in the presence of parents and recorded.
The DoE reminds schools that only a non-refundable registration fee of Rs 25 is allowed, with no capitation fee or compulsory purchase of prospectuses permitted.
