Eggless Walnut Cookies Ingredients

Whole Wheat Flour / Atta: Instead of Maida I used atta, which makes the cookie healthier.
Sugar: It is used to enrich the sweetness. And it helps the dough to come together.
Honey: Addition of honey helps in getting a nice golden crust of the cookie.
Oil: Oil gives soft and chewy texture to the cookie and it reduces the heaviness of butter.
Vanilla Extract: It enhances the aroma of the cookie and also complements the nutty walnuts.
Baking Powder: It helps the cookies rise and become light and fluffy, which gives the perfect texture.
Baking Soda: Baking soda works with baking powder to provide an extra lift and ensures the cookies don’t become dense and heavy.
Salt: A pinch of salt helps balance the sweetness, brings out the flavors in the cookies and enhances the overall taste.
Walnuts: This is the star ingredient which adds a rich, nutty flavor and a satisfying crunch to each bite.

Hacks I Follow
- Make sure your oil is at room temperature. It makes the cookies into lighter and fluffier.
- Sift the wheat flour before using it in the recipe. It avoid clumps and ensures an even texture in the dough.
- After preparing the dough, let it chill in the fridge for at least 30 minutes. This gives better texture when baked.
- Don’t over mix the dough. It can make the cookies tough. Mix until the ingredients are just combined for a softer and chewy cookie.
