India registered a commanding victory over Pakistan in their high-voltage ICC Men’s T20 World Cup clash on Sunday, drawing praise from political leaders across party lines and sparking celebrations among fans.

“Formats, places, and dates may change, but the result of #IndvsPak remains consistent’, Union Home Minister Amit Shah took to X after India defeated Pakistan in their ICC Men’s T20 World Cup clash on Sunday. Congratulating the team, Shah praised the Men in Blue for yet another victory in one of cricket’s fiercest rivalries.

Several users responding to Amit Shah’s post linked the victory to Operation Sindoor, India’s 2025 counter-terror operation, while congratulating the team.

Cabinet Minister Jagat Prakash Nadda also lauded the side, calling it a “memorable victory” built on teamwork, determination and skill. 

Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu congratulated Team India on what he described as a fantastic win, highlighting the batting display and wishing the squad continued momentum in the tournament.

Union Minister Kiren Rijiju said India dominated Pakistan “from beginning to finish in every step,” calling it a brilliant and convincing performance.

Union Commerce and Industry Minister Piyush Goyal said Team India “dominated the field like true Dhurandhars,” praising the side’s seamless teamwork and powerful finish against Pakistan.

Karnataka Deputy Chief Minister DK Shivakumar described the win as the “pride of a billion hearts,” highlighting India’s disciplined bowling and electric fielding as key to the commanding result. He wished the team continued momentum and success in the matches ahead.

BJP National President Nitin Nabin also congratulated Team India on what he called another spectacular win, saying the Men in Blue continued their dominance and made the nation proud with a stellar performance against Pakistan. He offered special praise to Ishan Kishan for his standout knock on a challenging wicket.

The match was held in Colombo, Sir lanka. India scored 177/7 in their 20 overs, powered by a commanding 77 runs strike from Ishan Kishan and strong contributions from the middle order. In reply, Pakistan were restricted to 114, as India’s pace attack struck early and the spinners controlled the middle overs, sealing a 61-run victory and reinforcing India’s dominance in ICC contests between the two sides.
