IIT Guwahati releases full GATE 2026 exam schedule for February sessions.

The Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Guwahati released the Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering (GATE) 2026 schedule on November 17. Candidates can check the full timetable including exam dates, timings and paper codes on the official website gate2026.iitg.ac.in. According to the earlier announcement, the exam will be held in February 2026. GATE 2026 will take place in two shifts each day.

The morning session will be held from 9:30 am to 12:30 pm, while the afternoon session will be held from 2:30 pm to 5:30 pm. The GATE 2026 result will be announced on March 19, 2026.

Candidates must download their admit card and check all personal details carefully, including their name, paper code, session and exam centre. The admit card will also mention the full address of the exam centre. Candidates should reach the centre at least 60 minutes before the exam starts. Entry will be allowed only after showing a valid admit card along with a government photo ID.

GATE 2026 will be held in a computer-based test (CBT) format. Candidates can use only the virtual calculator available on the screen during the exam. Mobile phones, personal calculators and other electronic devices are not allowed inside the exam hall. All test-takers must follow the security and health guidelines set by the authorities. Anyone who does not follow the rules may be disqualified.
