Himani Mor looks lovely as she ties the knot with Neeraj Chopra; know more about the tennis player


In a private and understated ceremony, India’s Olympic javelin star Neeraj Chopra tied the knot with tennis player Himani Mor. Fans were caught off guard when Chopra, 27, shared dreamy wedding photos on social media, captioning them: “Grateful for every blessing that brought us to this moment together. Bound by love, happily ever after.”

The announcement quickly went viral, with sports enthusiasts scrambling to learn more about Himani Mor, a name previously unfamiliar to many. Chopra’s uncle Bhim confirmed to PTI that the marriage occurred in India. “Yes, the marriage happened two days ago, but I cannot disclose the location. The couple has left for their honeymoon,” he added.

The couple wowed everyone by twinning in matching outfits. Neeraj looked dapper in a baby pink sherwani paired with a matching pagdi.

Himani, on the other hand, stunned in a breathtaking baby pink bridal lehenga adorned with intricate embroidery, complemented by matching bridal choora. Her look was elevated with exquisite silver and green jewellery.

Who is Himani Mor?

Himani Mor hails from Sonipat, Haryana, and has an impressive academic and athletic background.

According to PTI, she is Chand Ram’s daughter and is pursuing a Master’s degree in Sports Management at Franklin Pierce University, New Hampshire. Himani previously studied at Miranda House, Delhi University, where she majored in Political Science and Physical Education.

An accomplished tennis player, Mor represented Delhi University at the 2017 World University Games in Taipei, PTI reported. Her talent shone early when she clinched gold at the 2016 World Junior Tennis Championship in Malaysia, as noted by her school website.

According to the All India Tennis Association (AITA), Himani’s career-best national rankings were 42 in singles and 27 in doubles in 2018. Interestingly, she only began participating in AITA events that same year.

Himani is also listed as an assistant coach for women’s tennis at Amherst College in Massachusetts.

The private wedding ceremony was attended by close family members and kept deliberately low-profile, Bhim Chopra revealed to PTI. Neeraj’s village, Khandra near Panipat, rejoiced at the news, proud of their Olympic double medallist.

Neeraj Chopra, who holds two Olympic medals—Gold at Tokyo 2020 and Silver at Paris 2024—continues to inspire millions with his achievements.
