If you’ve ever wondered what a celebrity carries in her handbag, it turns out, it’s not much different from the rest of us, except maybe for a slightly better sense of humour about it.
During the promotions of When Harry Met Sejal, Anushka gave the audience a peek into her delightfully chaotic bag.

Anushka starts by admitting she works too much and often falls sick, so she carries medicines. But she insists they’re for emergencies only. “I carry medicines because I work too much, and my immunity keeps dropping. My manager makes me work too hard, so I fall sick. I try not to medicate too much anymore — only in emergencies when I can’t self-heal.”
What’s the one thing Anushka can’t live without? A blister bandage called Compete. “This is literally the most important thing in my life… It’s better than computers and aeroplanes.”
It’s every girl’s struggle — fabulous but painful footwear. And Anushka, queen of heels and honesty, gets it.
When asked where she’d find her lost bag, she says without hesitation: “Either with Sonu (my security guard) or Bablu (my valet). They’ve got my back. My backpack!”
The actor carries a small, old jewellery box for her earrings and chains while shooting. Also in there? House keys. “I come home late, and no one opens the door for me.” Stars — they really are just like us.

She gets philosophical about lip balm: “Lip balm is like an organ. Like a heart. Or a brain.” Honestly, we get it.
What else is in there? Pens, organisers, tissues, wallet, perfume, comb (that she never uses), makeup (that never changes), and of course — rubber bands. “You can never have too many rubber bands. People keep stealing mine.”
“This is my go-to expression,” she says, scrunching her face. “Mostly how my face looks — because I can never find anything in my bag.”
