The Ministry of Home Affairs, Intelligence Bureau (MHA, IB) has begun the online application process for the recruitment of 3,717 Assistant Central Intelligence Officer (ACIO) Grade-II/Executive posts. The registration will conclude on August 10, 2025. Those interested and eligible can apply for the posts on the official website at mha.gov.in or ncs.gov.in.

IB ACIO Recruitment 2025: Eligibility Criteria
Educational Qualification: Candidates must have completed graduation from any recognised university or equivalent. They must also have good knowledge of computers.
Age Limit: Candidates seeking the position must be between the ages of 18 and 27 as of August 10, 2025.
IB ACIO Recruitment 2025: Examination Fees
Candidates applying for the post must pay an examination fee of Rs 550 and Rs 100 in addition to recruitment processing charges for male candidates falling under the Unreserved (UR), Economically Weaker Section (EWS), and Other Backward Class (OBC) categories.
IB ACIO Recruitment 2025: Selection Process
The selection process includes three stages — Tier-I (Objective), Tier-II (Descriptive), and Interview. The Tier I exam will contain 100 Objective type MCQs, divided into 5 parts containing 20 questions of 1 mark each. Questions will be asked from Current Affairs, General Studies, Numerical aptitude, Reasoning/logical aptitude and English. For each incorrect answer, one-fourth of one marks will be deducted. The exam will be held for an hour.
The Tier-II will comprise descriptive type paper of 50 marks. This will include Essay (20 marks), English comprehension (10 marks) and long answer type questions (2 questions of 10 marks each on Current Affairs, Economics, Socio-political issues (20 marks). This exam will also be held for one hour and contains a total of 50 marks.
Those who clear both the rounds will have to appear for the interview which will feature 100 marks.

Candidates selected for the posts can expect a salary ranging from Rs 44,900 to Rs 1,42,400.
