Inter Miami coasted to a 4-1 win over New England Revolution on Sunday in the MLS encounter between the sides at the Chase Stadium in Florida.
Tadeo Allende and Jordi Alba netted a brace each while Dor Turgeman bagged a consolation for NER. But, it was Lionel Mesii who stole the show with three assists in the game.

Messi now has 24 goals and 17 assists in the league with two games left to play in the regular season of the American top-flight competition.
Miami also honoured legendary Spanish midfielder Sergio Busquets with a moving tribute as the World Cup-winner gears up to draw the curtains on his storied career.
The 37-year-old legend, who made the move to American shores in 2023 after nearly two decades at Barcelona, was given a guard of honour ahead of the Herons’ win.
Busquets walked to the middle, accompanied by players from the Florida-based side. Long-time teammates Lionel Messi, Luis Suarez, and Jordi Alba showed their admiration for the midfielder’s unmatched talent on the field, creating a moving moment with his family by his side.
“I have no words. A part of me, of my heart, will always be here with you,” Busquets said.
“Hopefully it can end in the best way possible,” the midfield maestro continued.
“Which is being in the playoffs and going for the title,” he added.
Renowned for his elegance, skill, and composure on the ball, Busquets is considered one of the greatest defensive midfielders in history.
He was instrumental in securing nine Spanish league titles with Barcelona and contributed to the club’s three Champions League victories.
Busquets also played a key role in Spain’s 2010 World Cup and 2012 European Championship triumphs, earning 143 caps.
He retired from international football after the 2022 World Cup and in 2023 moved to the United States to join his former Barcelona teammate Lionel Messi at Inter Miami.
