The Karnataka government on Saturday (March 8) published the final notification on reservation for the 369 wards of the newly formed five Bengaluru city corporations, marking a significant step towards the long-delayed civic polls.
However, the final notification is likely to be challenged in the court, as the Urban Development Department (UDD) has not changed the percentage in either vertical reservation or the women quota, despite the draft notification drawing widespread criticism over the same.
