What Happens After The Objection Window Closes
Once the objection window closes, a panel of subject experts will review all the challenges. If any objections are found valid, KEA will release a revised or final answer key. The KSET 2025 result will be prepared based on this final version.
The KSET 2025 exam was conducted on November 2. Out of 1.34 lakh registered candidates, about 1.21 lakh appeared for the test, which covered 33 subjects including a general paper. The exam was held across 316 centres in 11 districts — Bengaluru, Ballari, Belagavi, Davanagere, Dharwad, Kalaburagi, Mangaluru, Mysuru, Shivamogga, Tumakuru, and Vijayapura.
While submitting objections, candidates must mention the paper, subject, exam date, version code, question number, and upload supporting documents in PDF format.
About KSET
The Karnataka State Eligibility Test (KSET) is a state-level examination conducted by the Karnataka Examination Authority (KEA) to determine the eligibility of candidates for the post of Assistant Professor in universities and colleges across Karnataka.
The exam is similar to the National Eligibility Test (NET) but is conducted specifically for institutions within Karnataka. It assesses candidates’ teaching and research aptitude in various subjects.
KSET includes two papers:
Paper I: General paper on teaching and research aptitude, common for all candidates.
Paper II: Subject-specific paper chosen by the candidate.
Those who qualify in KSET are eligible to apply for Assistant Professor roles in Karnataka’s government, aided, and private colleges as per University Grants Commission (UGC) norms.
The exam is typically conducted once a year across multiple centres in different districts of the state.
