When intentions are strong, no difficult path can stop you from reaching your destination. Whatever the situation, you can overcome it. The story of Gaurav Banka exemplifies this truth. Losing his father at the age of seven was a deep grief that could break any child. But instead of giving up, Banka turned his grief into his strength. Family responsibilities forced him to leave his village, and he moved to Bhiwani city in Haryana, seeking a new beginning.
Upon arriving in Bhiwani, Gaurav Banka hoped to find a computer-related job, but circumstances were different. He had to work as a cleaner and started sweeping floors for a living. Despite this, he did not lose heart. He worked as a cleaner for several months and took on three different part-time jobs to keep his dreams alive.
“I lost my father at 7, left home and came to Bhivani for a computer job. But the only job available was sweeping. For months, I swept. I worked three part-time jobs at once. And then I topped the CA exams,” he told Physics Wallah in an interview.
Banka cracked CA without any coaching. He told the edtech that he used to see other children take tuition by paying fees of Rs 500 or Rs 1000 per hour. But he was unable to take any tuition and used to work three part-time jobs while left him with very little time to prepare for the exam. Despite facing such hardships, it was his consistency that took him to such heights of success.
Lighting the flame of education amidst the struggle Banka never abandoned his studies, even in difficult times. He aspired to become a chartered accountant and kept pursuing that goal. After working all day, he continued studying at night, making it his routine. His journey is not only a testament to hard work and dedication but also a symbol of strong faith and immense courage. He proved that no work is small, and with wholehearted effort, no dream remains out of reach.
