The mid-spec Pack Two variant of the Mahindra BE 6 and XEV 9e can now be optioned with a 79kWh battery pack, over the existing 59kWh unit. The larger battery was previously exclusive to the range-topping Pack Three variants of the two Mahindra electric SUVs, and its introduction lower down in the lineup confirms our May 2025 report.

It should be noted that those who made bookings for 59kWh models of the BE 6 and XEV 9e are eligible for upgrading the same to the new Pack Two 79kWh variants. The homegrown brand is actively ramping up deliveries to meet demand.

Mahindra BE 6, XEV 9e Pack Two: Range, charging
Both SUVs boast over 650km of maximum range
The Mahindra BE 6 (formerly BE 6e) boasts ARAI ranges of 682km using the 79kWh battery pack and 556km with the 59kWh unit. On the other hand, its bigger sibling, the XEV 9e, offers respective single-charge ranges of 656km and 542km. Both e-SUVs come with rear-wheel drive motors, tuned to make 286hp (with the 79kWh battery) and 231hp (with the 59kWh battery); peak torque output is the same at 380Nm.

Mahindra BE 6, XEV 9e Pack Two: Features
Level 2 ADAS, 19-inch wheels, Dolby Atmos
In terms of onboard equipment, Mahindra has loaded the Pack Two variants of the two SUVs with LED headlights and taillights, fixed glass roof, dual-zone AC, wireless Android Auto/ Apple CarPlay, 16-speaker Harman Kardon sound system with Dolby Atmos, wireless charger, and rear AC vents. For safety, Pack Two comes with Level 2 ADAS, 6 airbags, EPB, TPMS and all-wheel disc brakes.
Both the Mahindra XEV 9e and BE 6 Pack Two variants ride on 19-inch wheels, but the XEV 9e gets proper alloys, whereas the BE 6 Pack Two makes do with aero covers. Inside, both SUVs feature a 12.3-inch touchscreen and digital driver display, though the XEV 9e goes a step further with an additional screen for the front passenger of the same size.
