The rumours come to life. Manchester United start off their summer early, announcing the signing of Brazilian winger Matheus Cunha from Wolverhampton.
This marks what could be the start of a rebuild for Ruben Amorim, who looks keen on rejuvenating the Red Devils.

Cunha has just enjoyed a superb season for Wolves, scoring 17 goals and contributing six assists in total.
He came under the radar of Arsenal and Nottingham Forest earlier in January, but no deal materialised.
Capable of playing up front or out wide, the Brazil international has a range of qualities that can help this struggling United side, with murmurs stating that he could be taking on the No.10 shirt at Old Trafford.
Marcus Rashford and Antony look likely to be candidates for the exit door after both going out on loan, while Alejandro Garnacho’s future could also be in doubt.
Cunha had previously announced his departure from Wolves after their last game of the 2024-25 PL season.
“Individually, it was the best season of my life. All of this was only possible because of all the dedication and love I have for this club. I became the Brazilian with the most goals in a Premier League season, along with Roberto Firmino and Gabriel Martinelli.”
“I made mistakes and got things right, but always because I lived in this club so much. All I ever wanted was to do the impossible for Wolves. Another one is over. And thank you for all the affection,” he added.
