After revealing the base BaaS price of its first electric vehicle, Maruti Suzuki has now revealed the full price list of the e Vitara SUV. The Maruti Suzuki e Vitara is priced between Rs 15.99 lakh and Rs 20.01 lakh (ex-showroom). It is available with two battery packs spread across three trims. The base Delta trim only gets the smaller 49kWh battery, while the Alpha and Zeta trims get a larger 61kWh battery.

The e Vitara is also available with Battery-as-a-service, where customers pay a rental amount on the battery depending on per km usage. The rental amount is Rs 3.99 per km for the smaller battery pack, while for the larger battery pack, it is Rs 4.39km per km. The carmaker is offering a complimentary 7.4kW AC charger with free installation.
Maruti is also providing an 8-year/1,60,000km warranty on the battery pack and a 3-year warranty on the vehicle. A 5-year extended warranty on the vehicle can be availed at an additional cost. The e Vitara is also available with an assured buyback plan, with 60 percent buyback value on the 3-year/45,000km plan and 50 percent buyback value on the 4-year/60,000km plan.
Maruti e Vitara delivery timeline
Although Maruti has already commenced deliveries of the e Vitara, it is likely to be constrained for the first few months, up until July at least. That is because Maruti has to balance production capacity between domestic and export markets, as India is the sole manufacturing base for the e Vitara globally. At the same Gujarat facility, Maruti Suzuki produces other popular models like the Fronx, which has further created a limitation on capacity. The company has, however, said it is working to ensure waiting periods remain manageable by carefully balancing domestic sales and exports. Expect deliveries to be scaled up in the second half of the year.
Maruti e Vitara prices vs rivals
Full price announcement of the e Vitara finally marks Maruti’s entry into the burgeoning midsize electric SUV segment. However, it doesn’t quite undercut the segment as the industry hoped it would. For instance, it is more expensive than the likes of the Vinfast VF6 (Rs 17.29 lakh – Rs 19.19 lakh) and MG Windsor (Rs 14 lakh – Rs 18.50 lakh), but it is more affordable than the Hyundai Creta Electric (Rs 18.02 lakh – Rs 24.70 lakh) and Mahindra BE 6 (Rs 18.90 lakh – Rs 27.65 Lakh).
Maruti e Vitara powertrain and range details
The Maruti Suzuki e Vitara comes with two battery option: a 49kWh variant producing 144hp and with an ARAI-rated range of 440km and the 61kWh version with 174hp and 543km range. Both have the same torque output of 189Nm and come with a FWD layout as standard. Maruti claims that a top-up from 10 to 80 percent using a 7.4kW charger takes 6.5 hours for the 49kWh variant and 9 hours for the 61kWh battery pack version.
