The Mercedes-Benz G 63 Collector’s Edition has been launched in India for a price of Rs 4.30 crores (ex-showroom). Limited to just 30 units, the special edition G-Class comes with India-inspired aesthetics – a first from Mercedes for India – and costs Rs 66 lakh more than the regular G 63. Bookings have officially commenced today, and deliveries are to begin in Q4 of 2025.

Mercedes-AMG G 63 Collector’s Edition: what’s new?
The G 63 Collector’s Edition has been configured by teams at Mercedes-Benz India and Mercedes-Benz Research and Development India. It is all about hyper-exclusivity and personalisation, says the brand, and has been inspired by the Indian monsoons.

To that effect, the most notable element on the G 63 Collector’s Edition are two exclusive, India-specific Manufaktur paint options – Mid Green Magno (inspired by the India’s lush greenery during monsoons) and Red Magno (inspired by India’s iron-rich soil). It also gets a ‘One of Thirty’ plaque on the rear spare wheel cover and a unique finish for the side protection strip running the length of the SUV. There are also 22-inch AMG-spec alloy wheels finished in gold.
On the inside, highlights include a two-tone, Manufaktur Catalana Biege and Black Nappa leather seat upholstery and open-pore natural walnut wood trim for the dashboard. But what really makes the Collector’s Edition special is that customers can have their own name engraved on the dashboard grab handle, making it truly exclusive to each individual owner.

The AMG G63 Collector’s Edition continues to be powered the 4.0-litre, twin-turbo V8 engine with 48V mild-hybrid tech. It produces 585hp and 850Nm, and there’s an additional 22hp boost from the mild-hybrid system. The engine is paired to a 9-speed DCT automatic gearbox with paddle shifters, with power being sent to all four wheels via the 4Matic system. Mercedes-Benz claims a 0-100kph sprint time of 4.4 seconds.

The G 63 Collector’s Edition will only be made available to Mercedes’ existing top-end customers. The G-Class’ popularity in India is, of course, no secret; even the regular G 63 has a waiting period of at least 12-18 months. Mercedes-Benz has even created a special ‘G corner’ at its showroom in Delhi for the discerning G buyer, and says India sees among the highest rate of the Manufaktur customisations for the G.

Past special edition G-Class models have been a quick sell out, says the brand, but it could only secure a very limited allocation for the G 63 Collector’s Edition. However, Mercedes has assured there will be more such ‘India specials’ based on other high-end Mercs in the future.
