- It will get connected LED lighting and 17-19-inch alloy wheel options
- Feature suite could include dual screens and powered front seats
Mercedes-Benz CLA EV powertrain details
Likely to be offered with a rear-wheel-drive configuration in India
While battery details for the India-spec Mercedes-Benz CLA EV have not yet been confirmed, the international model is offered in two versions: the CLA 250+ and the CLA 350, both of which come with an 85kWh battery pack. The CLA 250+ gets a rear-mounted motor producing 268hp and 335Nm and has a claimed range of up to 792km (WLTP). The more powerful CLA 350 features dual motors with all-wheel drive, delivering a combined 349hp and 515Nm.
As the CLA Electric will serve as Mercedes-Benz’s entry-level EV in India, it is likely that the manufacturer will offer only the 250+ variant here.
Mercedes-Benz CLA EV exterior design
Gets connected LED lighting and up to 19-inch alloy wheels
The Mercedes-Benz CLA EV features a sleek and modern design with clear EV-inspired elements. At the front, it gets a blanked-off grille finished in gloss black, complemented by illuminated tristar elements. The twin-pod LED headlights, a familiar Mercedes-Benz signature, are connected by a slim LED light strip for a wide and futuristic appearance. A similar LED strip links the tail-lights at the rear, giving the EV sedan a cohesive look.
In profile, the CLA EV appears clean and aerodynamic with flush door handles and a choice of 17- to 19-inch aerodynamically designed alloy wheels. Black cladding along the lower body adds contrast to it.
