McLaren driver Lando Norris raced to clinch pole position at the Monaco Grand Prix as he pipped out Ferrari’s Charles Leclerc with a record lap at Monte Carlo.
Norris clocked a best lap in one minute and 9.954 seconds to claim his second pole of the season.
“It has been a long time coming,” said Norris, following his pole.
“I feel good. I don’t think I would realise how good this would feel after a few struggles over the last couple of months,” he added.
“We have worked a lot to get where we are today,” the 25-year-old said.
