We earlier made a list of most powerful motorcycles under the 10 lakh mark. Well this is a follow up for those with a heavier wallet. The Indian motorcycle market has grown exponentially over the past decade, catering to a diverse range of riders. For those seeking power-packed performance at a price, the segment under Rs 15 lakh offers some thrilling options. Here’s a look at the most powerful motorcycles available in this price range.

8. BMW F900 GS

Rs 13.75 – 13.95 lakh

The F900 GS is powered by a 895cc, parallel-twin engine producing 105hp and 95Nm, mated to a six-speed gearbox. In terms of features, it gets a TFT dash with cruise control, tyre pressure monitoring system and rider modes. It falls under the same category as the Triumph Tiger 900 GT and is also priced similarly at Rs 13.75 – Rs 13.95 lakh (ex-showroom, India).

 

7. Triumph Tiger 900 GT

Triumph has a rather diverse catalog of motorcycles and our first entry on this list is none other than their premium middle-weight ADV. The Tiger 900 is currently available in two variants: GT and Rally Pro. While the GT variant is a road biased version of the Tiger 900, the Rally Pro is a lot more off-road biased and commands a premium of Rs 2 lakh over the GT variant. However, for someone who rarely intends to leave the tarmac, the GT variant offers a sweet deal along with a potent 888cc in-line triple. This motor produces 108hp at 9500rpm and 90Nm at 6850rpm and is currently on sale for Rs 13.95 – Rs 14.15 lakh (ex-showroom, India).

6. Ducati Monster

The Ducati Monster brings Italian flair and versatility to the table. Powered by a 937cc L-twin engine, it delivers 111hp at 9250rpm and 93Nm at 6500rpm. While not the most powerful on this list, the Monster stands out for its character and history. It’s equipped with advanced electronics, including cornering ABS, traction control, and riding modes, making it a sophisticated yet fun ride. The Monster is Ducati’s middle-weight street fighter and is currently available at a price of Rs 12.95 lakh (ex-showroom, India).

 

5. Kawasaki Ninja ZX-6R

The Kawasaki Ninja ZX-6R is a middleweight sportbike that combines race-track pedigree with street-friendly usability. Its 636cc inline-four engine produces 129hp (With RAM Air) at 13,000rpm and 69Nm at 11,000rpm delivering a top speed north of 200kph. With features like traction control, multiple power modes, and a quick shifter, the Ninja ZX-6R ensures an engaging ride. It is available for Rs 11.20 lakh (ex-showroom, India) which makes it the most affordable motorcycle on this list. 

4. Triumph Street Triple RS

The Triumph Street Triple RS is known for its agility and performance. It houses a 765cc inline-three engine that churns out 130hp at 12,000rpm and 80Nm at 9000rpm. This bike is revered for its precise handling and versatility, making it a great choice for spirited rides and daily commutes alike. The Street Triple RS is equipped with advanced electronics, including ride-by-wire throttle, switchable traction control, and multiple riding modes. Currently available at a price of Rs 11.81 lakh (ex-showroom, India), which makes it the second triple engine on this list. 

3. Kawasaki Ninja 1100SX

The Ninja 1100SX is powered by a 1099cc, inline-4, liquid-cooled engine producing 136hp and 113Nm. The Versys 1100 is also powered by this engine and produces identical peak power and torque. The Ninja 1100SX has no real direct rivals to speak of in our market, with the closest competition coming from Triumph’s road-biased Tiger 900 GT and BMW’s F 900 GSA. 

 

2. Suzuki Katana

The Suzuki Katana is a modern reinterpretation of the classic model. It features a 999cc inline-four engine derived from the legendary K5 GSX-R1000 which produces a whopping 152hp at 11,000rpm and 106Nm at 9000rpm. The bike incorporates features such as a ride-by-wire throttle, multiple riding modes, traction control, and an updated LCD instrument panel. The Katana offers a blend of nostalgia and cutting-edge engineering, appealing to both classic enthusiasts and modern riders. 

1. Honda CB1000 Hornet SP

Rs 12.36 lakh

The Hornet 1000 SP is the latest entrant and on this list. It is only available in its higher-spec SP guise and features a 999cc inline-4 liquid-cooled engine that produces 157hp at 11,000rpm and 107Nm at 9,000rpm, paired with a 6-speed gearbox and a bi-directional quickshifter. It is the most-powerful bike on this list and at Rs 12.36 lakh (ex-showroom, Gurugram), it undercuts quite a few of the other entrants on price.
