Balaghat district of Madhya Pradesh is often in the news due to Naxalism, but the daughters of Balaghat are changing perceptions about the district. Balaghat is continually reaching new heights in various fields. Now, a girl from a small village in Balaghat is set to study MBBS. Muskan Dongre from Mahaduli village in the Katangi development block is on her way to becoming a doctor. Selected in the first round, Muskan will pursue her medical studies at a government college.

The Madhya Pradesh Medical Education Department announced the seat allotment result for the first round of MP NEET UG 2025 counselling on August 18. Muskan Dongre, who ranked 4343rd in NEET, has been allotted a seat in Birsa Munda College, Shahdol. There is immense joy among the villagers and her family members.

For the first time in Mahaduli village, a daughter is becoming a doctor. Muskan’s parents are proud of her achievement. Muskan shared that becoming a doctor was her dream, inspired by her elder sister Dr. Roshni Nagdeva, her aunt’s daughter. Muskan’s father, Saroj Dongre, is a teacher, while her mother, Vimta, is an Anganwadi worker. She has always excelled in her studies, completing her education at Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya Varasivani.

Muskan mentioned that becoming a doctor was her dream, and it is now coming true. She stressed that hard work and dedication are crucial for success. There were times when she felt frustrated while preparing for NEET, but her family encouraged and motivated her to keep going, she told News18 Hindi. Muskan credits her success to her family and teachers. Her mother, getting emotional, expressed pride that her daughter will become a doctor and bring honour to the family.

Meanwhile, those who have not got a seat in round 1 of MP NEET UG counselling 2025 need not be disappointed. They can try to get their preferred seat in round 2. Furthermore, if seats remain vacant then there will be a chance in the mop-up round as well.
