Nagpur: Finally, national kabaddi is back in Vidarbha.
After a gap of 30 long years, the junior national kabaddi championship will be played in Vidarbha, with Wardha making its debut as a host district to India’s best U-20 players representing 27 states.

We aim to bring that old glory back to the region, and after getting the affiliation from the national federation, we requested to host the nationals.”
Pradipsingh Thakur, the Secretary of the KAVS, said, “For the first time after 1995, Vidarbha will host the nationals. We are all set to make these nationals a memorable event where a total of 750 players and 350 officials from across the country will be seen in action.”
The participating teams include hosts Vidarbha, Maharashtra, Goa, Gujarat, Delhi, Himachal Pradesh, Punjab, Haryana, Uttarakhand, Uttar Pradesh, Chandigarh, Madhya Pradesh, Telangana, Odisha, Karnataka, Tamil Nadu, Kerala, Assam, Manipur, Nagaland, Mizoram, and Jammu & Kashmir.
