  3. It will sit below the Rorr EZ and Rorr

Oben Electric’s O100 platform to underpin future models

This platform is modular and highly scalable

The new O100 (pronounced O-hundred) platform will underpin Oben’s second electric motorcycle. The brand claims it is aiming for a sub-Rs 1 lakh sticker price. With this second platform, Oben plans to target the 100cc-equivalent motorcycle class, which accounts for nearly 30 percent of India’s two-wheeler market.

The company claims the O100 platform is modular and scalable, capable of accommodating larger battery packs, supporting multiple variants, and catering to a variety of segments. This is similar to the Rorr EZ, which is available in three variants with battery capacities that range between 2.6kWh and 4.4kWh.

The O100 is Oben’s second platform; its first electric two-wheeler, the Rorr, was built on the ARX platform. The Rorr EZ and Rorr are two models based on this platform, priced from Rs 90,000 to Rs 1.5 lakh, respectively. These bikes will likely continue to sit above the new sub-Rs 1 lakh model.

Once launched, this new electric motorcycle will compete with the Revolt RV1 and RV BlazeX.
