The Odisha government approved amendments to three service-related rules on Monday to streamline the state’s recruitment process, an official said. The decisions were made during a cabinet meeting chaired by Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi, reported PTI.
The three service rules are the Combined Graduate Level Recruitment Examination for Group-B and Group-C Specialist Posts and Services Rules, 2022; the Combined Graduate Level Recruitment Examination for Group-B and Group-C of different State Cadre Posts or Services Rules, 2022; and the Amendment of Combined Higher Secondary (10+2) Level or Equivalent Recruitment Examination for Specialist Posts or Services Rules, 2022.
The meeting also approved a proposal to present a supplementary budget for 2025-26 during the winter session of the Assembly, starting on November 27. The cabinet endorsed four proposals, including a supplementary budget of approximately Rs 10,000 crore for the current financial year 2025-26.
The updated regulations aim to streamline procedures, reduce delays, and enhance transparency in the selection process for various state cadre and specialist roles. The government is expected to release detailed notifications outlining these changes soon.
This approval represents another step in the administration’s continuous efforts to enhance governance and improve efficiency in public recruitment systems.
Meanwhile, several candidates are eagerly awaiting the results of the SSC CGL Tier 1 exam. Based on the timelines of previous SSC exams, it is expected that the CGL Tier 1 2025 result will be released by the first or second week of December 2025.
All updates regarding the SSC CGL Result 2025 can be checked on the Staff Selection Commission’s official website, ssc.nic.in, once announced. The results are expected to be announced soon. The Tier 1 exam took place between September 12 and 26 across 45 shifts. After the exam, the SSC released a provisional answer key, and over 1,000 objections were filed against all question papers combined. The SSC CGL results will be declared only after these objections are resolved.
