Oil and Natural Gas Corporation Limited (ONGC) has announced openings for Apprentice positions. Candidates with degree in B.Com, B.Sc, or diploma, or ITI, or 10th class qualification can apply via ONGC’s official website at ongcindia.com. This recruitment drive aims to fill 2623 posts within the organisation. The registration process commenced on October 16 and will conclude on November 6, 2025.
The selection of apprentices will be based on merit, determined by the marks obtained in the qualifying examination as specified in the advertisement. In cases where candidates have the same merit score, the candidate with the higher age will be given preference. Any form of canvassing or influencing will result in the rejection of the candidature. The results will be declared on November 26, 2025.
“Selection for Apprentices would be based on the merit drawn on the basis of marks obtained in the qualifying examination as stipulated in the advertisement. In case of a similar number in a merit, a person with higher age would be considered,” states the official notice.

ONGC Recruitment 2025: Eligibility Criteria
Educational Qualification: Candidates must have completed ITI training or graduation in the relevant posts depending on their trade. In trades like Mechanic, Electronics, Instrument, Fitter, Fire Safety Technician, Medical Laboratory Technician, Computer Operator, Storekeeper, Civil Draftsman, Electrical, Mechanical, Electronics and Telecommunications, ITI or related diploma/graduate qualification is required.
Furthermore, they must not have gone apprenticeship earlier or pursuing Apprenticeship Training as per the Apprenticeship Act, 1961.
Age Limit: Applicants must be between 18 to 24 years of age as of November 6, 2025, meaning their date of birth should fall between November 6, 2001, and November 6, 2007.
ONGC Recruitment 2025: Stipend
Selected candidates will receive a stipend ranging from Rs 8200 to Rs 12300 depending on their merit. The training will take place for a year for all trades.
