Yuzvendra Chahal is not only known for his skills on the cricket field but the bowler has also amazed his fans with his fun personality through his social media banters. This side of his was recently brought by two instances.
Chahal’s humour first came into focus when Shikhar Dhawan shared an update from his Bali trip on X (formerly Twitter). Along with a couple of pictures, Dhawan wrote, “Sweetheart leke aayi mujhe Bali 52 per cent off on Goibibo thoko taali.”
Chahal responded in the comment section with a playful remark: “Logo ki Mohabbat reh gayi khaali, aur tum nikal pade Bali?”

Several fans reacted to this comment with laughter with one user commenting, “Yuzi bhai ne kardi heavy comedy, bajao sablog taali (Yuzi brother just delivered some heavy comedy, everyone clap).”
Another added, “Kya shayari boli hai Chahal sahab ne, thoko taali (What a verse Chahal sir just said, clap for that).”
Instagram Live Banter With Arshdeep Singh And Ravi Bishnoi
Chahal’s humourous side appeared again during a late-night Instagram live session with Punjab Kings teammates Ravi Bishnoi and Arshdeep Singh. Wrapped in a blanket, Chahal joined the casual chat where the trio joked and laughed together.
Chahal joked, “In life, no wife… only blanket (only Razai no Lugai),” referring to his blanket during the live session
Arshdeep then said, “Shadiyon ka season hai (It’s wedding season),” and Ravi added, “Khub saari attend karke aaya hu. Ek-do mein to naachke aaya hu (I attended so many weddings, in one or two I even danced).”
Chahal asked Ravi, “Paise mile? (Did you get paid?),” and Ravi replied, “Paise nahi mile. Dost ki thi. (No, I didn’t get paid. It was of my friend).”
Yuzvendra Chahal’s Cheeky Remark About Bank Balance
The banter extended when Chahal suggested to Arshdeep, “You should get married now.” Arshdeep asked if Chahal wasn’t happy seeing him enjoy life. Chahal then commented, “Bank balance zyada lag raha hai, karlo (Your bank balance seems enough, go ahead).” The remark led to laughter during the live session.
Yuzvendra Chahal And Dhanashree Verma’s Separation
The banter comes months after Chahal’s separation from choreographer and influencer Dhanashree Verma, which had been widely covered in the media. The couple were among the most-followed pairs in cricket before their split earlier this year. Reports at the time suggested a settlement of around Rs 4 crore, although neither Chahal nor Dhanashree officially confirmed the figure.
In an appearance on Rise and Fall, Dhanashree stated, “Officially, it has been almost a year. It happened quickly because it was mutual, that’s why when people say alimony, it’s wrong. Just because I am not saying anything, you will go on saying anything? My parents have taught me to only justify to people whom I care about. Why waste time explaining those who don’t even know you?”
Chahal and Dhanashree got married in 2020 in a grand wedding attended by several cricketing legends. After four years of marriage, their relationship came under public attention and led to a high-profile divorce. The couple filed for separation in February 2024, and the divorce was finalised later that same year.
