The Gujarat government has launched the Coaching Assistance Scheme, which aims to provide quality coaching for talented students preparing for national and state-level competitive examinations like NEET, JEE, and GUJCET. This scheme has been specifically designed for students who cannot afford the high fees of private coaching due to financial constraints.
It will offer free or government-assisted coaching facilities to help students gain admission to medical, engineering, and other professional courses. The Director of Developing Caste Welfare in Gandhinagar has invited online applications for this scheme for the academic year 2025-26.
“Coaching assistance will be provided to socially and educationally backward students and economically backward students for their preparation for examinations like NEET, JEE, and GUJCET (Amount of assistance Rs. 20,000/- or the actual fees paid, whichever is less),” states the official notice. Students will also receive assistance for other competitive examinations like IIM, CEPT, NIFT, NLU, IELTS, TOEFL, and GRE.
Scheme Eligibility and Application Process
To benefit from the Coaching Assistance Scheme, students must have completed the required educational qualifications and be residents of Gujarat. The application process is entirely online, ensuring transparency and accessibility. Interested students can apply through the official portal at esamajkalyan.gujarat.gov.in. The portal provides details on the scheme, eligibility criteria, required documents, and the application deadline. This online process simplifies the application procedure and saves time.
