Mohamed Salah faces uncertainty at Liverpool as Arne Slot plans to have one final talk with the Egyptian star before the Brighton match.

Is the Mo Salah–Liverpool saga finally hitting its climax? If Arne Slot is taking Clarence Seedorf’s advice from earlier this week, it sure looks like it.
The Liverpool manager confirmed he’ll speak to Salah on Friday morning before deciding whether the Egyptian forward plays against Brighton this weekend.

Salah has been fuming. After being benched for last week’s 3-3 draw at Leeds — his third straight non-start — the 33-year-old accused the club of throwing him “under the bus” and said he had “no relationship” with Slot.
He then skipped (and was also excluded from) Tuesday’s Champions League trip to Inter Milan, posting a lone-gym-session picture from Liverpool’s training ground while the team won 1-0 in Italy.
Slot, though, isn’t adding fuel to the fire.
“I will have a conversation with Mo this morning; the outcome of that conversation determines how things will look tomorrow,” Slot stated to Sky Sports on Friday.
“I think the next time I speak about Mo should be with him and not in here… there is not much more to say about it.”
The Dutchman insisted talks have already taken place.
“After the Sunderland game, there were a lot of conversations between his representatives and ours, between him and me.”
Pressed again on whether he wants Salah to stay, Slot kept it diplomatic.
“I have no reason not wanting him to stay, and that is a little bit of an answer to your question.”
Salah, meanwhile, may get a breather from the storm soon — he’s set to join the Egypt squad for the Africa Cup of Nations right after the Brighton match.
But let’s be honest: the timing couldn’t be worse for Liverpool. Salah’s form has dipped hard — just four goals in 13 Premier League games — and last season’s champions are languishing in 10th place after a miserable run.
The air is thick, the tension is real, and Liverpool’s biggest star is at the centre of a storm he’s partly stirred himself.
