– The long-standing dispute over nearly 45,000 square metres of land at Asaram’s ashram in Motera, Ahmedabad, has reached a decisive conclusion. The Gujarat High Court has allowed the state government to reclaim the land, enabling the removal of illegal constructions and future development.

– The Allahabad High Court has acquitted a nearly 100-year-old man accused in a murder case, more than four decades after he was released on bail. The court noted that the prolonged delay in the appeal and the social consequences faced by the accused could not be overlooked.
