The exam season has started for students, with school, intermediate, and degree college students gearing up with their books. Most exams will be completed by March and April. Along with festivals like Holi and Ramzan, there are also some other special holidays. Despite March being filled with exams, there are some holidays to provide relief, including weekends and festivals, giving students a total of 11 holidays. Check out the complete list of school holidays in March below:

March 3 – The first school holiday in March is on the 3rd for the Holi festival, celebrated nationwide, and schools in Telugu states will be closed.

March 19 – Ugadi, the beloved Telugu New Year festival, falls on Thursday, March 19. Schools, intermediate, and degree students will have a holiday.

March 20 – The day after Ugadi, on March 20, is the Muslim festival of Ramadan. Students will enjoy two consecutive days of holidays.

March 27 – Sri Rama Navami, celebrated on Friday, March 27, is another holiday. This festival marks the marriage of Sita and Rama, celebrated with grandeur in Rama temples.

March 31 – The last day of the month, Tuesday, March 31, is Mahaveer Jayanthi, a holiday in Telugu state schools.

Besides this, there are 5 Sundays in March — 1, 8, 15, 22, and 29 — all school holidays. The second Saturday in March is on the 14th. Most schools across the country will remain close on the second Saturday of every month, and with mandatory holidays in March, schools won’t open on this day.

In total, there are 11 holidays in March, with 5 festival days, 1 second Saturday, and 5 Sundays, leaving schools open for 20 days. From March 16 to April 23, half-day schools will operate in Telangana, starting a day earlier on March 15 in AP.
