The Staff Selection Commission (SSC) has announced the self-slot selection schedule for candidates appearing in the Junior Engineer (JE) Exam 2025 and the Delhi Police and Central Armed Police Forces (CAPF) Exam 2025. This facility allows candidates to choose their preferred exam city and date on the official SSC website, ssc.gov.in.
According to the schedule, the slot selection window for the Junior Engineer Examination will be open from November 10 to 13, 2025. For the Sub-Inspector (SI) Examination, candidates can select their slots between November 17 and November 21, 2025.
“The Commission has extended the facility of choosing the examination city and date as per candidates’ choice. For availing this facility, the candidates will have to login into the candidate portal and exercise their choice for slot selection for the examinations,” states the official notice by SSC.
The SSC JE and SSC SI Paper-I exams are set for December 2025. This year’s recruitment drive aims to fill 1,731 Junior Engineer posts and 5,308 Sub-Inspector posts in the Delhi Police and CAPF.
The Commission has stated that once a slot is selected and submitted, it will be final, with no changes or modifications allowed. If candidates fail to choose within the specified period, the system will automatically assign a slot based on their application preferences or availability.
“Moreover, candidates may note that option once submitted by the candidates will be considered final. No further changes to the selected slot will be allowed and no representation in this regard will be entertained by the Commission,” the notice stated.
“If a candidate fails to exercise the slot selection option within the prescribed time limit, the system will automatically allocate an available slot in any of the cities opted during the application window or as per availability. The decision of the Commission regarding the slot allocation shall be final and binding,” it added.
