This second chance is beneficial for candidates whose exams were disrupted. There were complaints of technical issues, unexpected incidents (such as a fire at a center in Mumbai), and suspected malpractice at SSC CGL Tier 1 exam centers. As per the updated schedule, the SSC CGL re-exam will be held on October 14, 2025. Note that the re-exam is only for candidates whose initial exam was canceled for any reason. The SSC CGL 2025 admit cards will be available for download starting October 9, 2025. All candidates are advised to regularly visit the official SSC website, ssc.gov.in, for the latest updates to avoid any confusion. The re-exam admit card will also be available on this website. The SSC CGL 2025 re-exam is not open to all candidates. Those eligible to retake the exam include candidates whose SSC exam was canceled due to the fire incident at a centre in Mumbai on September 26 and those who encountered technical issues at their SSC exam centre. This move aims to enhance transparency in SSC exams. Through the SSC CGL Exam 2025, thousands of Group ‘B’ and ‘C’ positions in various central government ministries and departments will be filled. SSC exams frequently face scrutiny due to incidents of paper leaks and last-minute postponements, which waste the time and effort of numerous candidates. Student organisations warn that if such issues continue, SSC’s credibility will be at risk. These disruptions are not only academic hurdles but also pose mental and financial burdens for candidates who prepare for months. The latest chaos has once again raised questions about SSC’s efficiency. (Representative/File)
