SSC CGL 2026: The Staff Selection Commission (SSC) will close the post preference submission window for candidates who appeared in Tier-2 of the Combined Graduate Level Examination (CGL) today, on March 13, 2026. Candidates are required to log in to their accounts on the official SSC website, ssc.gov.in, and submit the “Option cum Preference” form for posts and departments they wish to be considered for.SSC has warned that candidates who fail to submit post preferences will not be considered for the final merit list or selection. The commission will not entertain any requests after the deadline, through post, fax, email, or any other mode.

Candidates can follow the steps elucidated here to submit their post preferences on the official website:
- Log in: Go to ssc.gov.in and log in to your SSC account.
- Go to My Application: Click on the My application section.
- Fill form: Choose the posts and departments that you desire in the
Option cum Preference form . - Make selections: This step is used to submit your selections by clicking the button named Submit.
- Revise (if necessary): You can only make any changes up to March 12, 2026, 6 PM.
- Meet the eligibility requirements: Make sure that you fit the physical, medical, and PwBD-related requirements of the posts.
