The Staff Selection Commission (SSC) has updated the tentative vacancy list for the Multi-Tasking (Non-Technical) Staff and Havaldar (CBIC & CBN) Examination, 2025. The latest update reveals that the tentative vacancies for the Havaldar role have risen from 1,075 to 1,089, adding 14 new vacancies. The tentative vacancies for the Multi-Tasking (Non-Technical) Staff (MTS) stand at 4,375. Candidates preparing for the exam can review the revised vacancy details on the SSC’s official website at ssc.gov.in.
“The Candidates may please refer to the notice of Multi-Tasking (Non-Technical) Staff and Havaldar (CBIC & CBN) Examination, 2025 published by the Commission on 26.06.2025. The tentative vacancies for MTS mentioned in para 2.1 of the Notice of Examination may be read as 4375 and vacancy of Havaldar may be read as 1089 instead of 1075. The other terms and conditions of the Notice dated 26.06.2025 shall remain unchanged,” reads the official notice.
SSC MTS & Havaldar Exam 2025: Correction Window Opens Today
Furthermore, the SSC has informed it will offer a correction window from today, July 29 to 31, 2025, allowing candidates to amend their submitted applications. During this period, candidates can update their online application data and resubmit their applications if required.
An application form correction fee will apply to all candidates, irrespective of gender or category. The first correction and resubmission will incur a fee of Rs 200, while a second correction and resubmission will cost Rs 500.
The SSC MTS and Havaldar (CBIC & CBN) Examination, 2025, is set to be conducted as a Computer Based Test (CBT) from September 20 to October 24, 2025.
SSC MTS & Havaldar Recruitment 2025: Exam Pattern
For the MTS post, the selection process will include only a Computer-Based Examination (CBE).
For the Havaldar post, candidates will go through a CBE, followed by a Physical Efficiency Test (PET) and Physical Standard Test (PST).
The CBE will be held in Hindi, English, and 13 regional languages, including:
Assamese, Bengali, Gujarati, Kannada, Konkani, Malayalam, Manipuri (Meitei), Marathi, Odia, Punjabi, Tamil, Telugu, and Urdu.
