The UPSC Civil Services Examination is renowned as one of the toughest exams in the country, demanding years of hard work, discipline, and determination to pass. Imagine the tremendous achievement if two siblings, living under the same roof, prepared together and passed the exam in the same year. Today, we introduce you to three such pairs of siblings who supported each other and realised their dream of becoming IAS and IPS officers by passing the UPSC exam.

Simran and Srishti: Two sisters from Agra who made history together

Simran and Srishti, sisters from Agra, Uttar Pradesh, successfully passed the UPSC Civil Services Examination 2020 together. Simran, the elder sister, secured the 474th rank, while Srishti, the younger sister, secured the 373rd rank. Remarkably, Simran achieved this in her second attempt, while Srishti cracked the exam on her first try. Their parents and entire family are immensely proud of their accomplishment.

Pankaj and Amit Kumawat: Two brothers crack UPSC without coaching

The story of Pankaj and Amit Kumawat from Jhunjhunu, Rajasthan, is an inspiration to millions of youths. The brothers passed the UPSC Civil Services Examination together in 2019, securing nearly identical ranks; Pankaj secured 423rd, while Amit secured 424th. Remarkably, both brothers passed the exam without any coaching.

Despite their father’s limited income as a tailor, he ensured his sons received a good education. Previously, in 2018, Pankaj had secured the 443rd rank and Amit the 600th rank. Learning from their experience, they tried again and succeeded with better ranks.

Anjali and Anamika Meena: Daughters of an IAS father crack UPSC

Anjali and Anamika Meena from Dausa, Rajasthan, prepared for the UPSC together and succeeded. In the 2019 exam, Anamika secured the 116th rank, while Anjali secured the 494th rank. Growing up in an administrative service environment, as their father Ramesh Chandra Meena is an IAS officer of the Tamil Nadu cadre, they had the guidance and support needed to pass the country’s toughest exam.

The stories of these siblings prove that with hard work, discipline, and mutual support, any goal can be achieved. By encouraging each other, these siblings not only passed the UPSC exam but also set an example for millions of young people.
