Tamannaah Bhatia’s acting journey began nearly two decades ago with the Hindi film Chand Sa Roshan Chehra (2005). After her debut, she shifted her focus to the South Indian film industry, working extensively in Tamil and Telugu cinema. However, the defining moment in her career arrived a decade later with SS Rajamouli’s magnum opus Baahubali: The Beginning (2015), where she starred opposite Prabhas as Avanthika.

Tamannaah Bhatia reflects on how Baahubali changed her as an actor and a person: “It gave me the confidence to experiment…”
Her strong performance, graceful screen presence, and captivating dance sequences made Tamannaah one of the most talked-about stars of the time. She later reprised her role in Baahubali 2: The Conclusion (2017), further solidifying her place as one of Indian cinema’s most prominent actors.
Tamannaah on What Baahubali Taught Her
In a recent conversation with Filmfare, Tamannaah reflected on how Baahubali shaped her, both personally and professionally. “Baahubali was the film that I learned the most from. We were shooting against a green screen, so we had to imagine a lot of things. I learned so much about VFX and how it’s used to enhance storytelling,” she shared.
Tamannaah added that the experience made her more confident and independent as an artist. “It gave me the confidence to experiment and trust my instincts. After Baahubali, I stopped taking people’s opinions too seriously and started listening to my gut. It also gave me a lot of insight into my own personality,” she said.
The Legacy Continues with Baahubali: The Epic
Tamannaah and her co-stars — Prabhas, Rana Daggubati, Anushka Shetty, Ramya Krishnan, and Sathyaraj — are now gearing up for the release of Baahubali: The Epic. The upcoming project is a re-edited and remastered single-film version that combines Baahubali: The Beginning and Baahubali 2: The Conclusion.
The film, set to release on October 31, will also feature never-before-seen footage, giving fans a fresh cinematic experience of the iconic saga.
What’s Next for Tamannaah Bhatia
After her recent appearance in Aryan Khan’s show The Ba**ds of Bollywood* song “Ghafoor,” Tamannaah is set to star opposite Shahid Kapoor and Triptii Dimri in Vishal Bhardwaj’s upcoming action thriller O’ Romeo. The film is expected to release in late 2025 or early 2026.
With a career defined by constant reinvention and fearless choices, Tamannaah Bhatia continues to prove that her growth as an actor extends far beyond the world of Baahubali.
