Anna University has commenced the Tamil Nadu Common Entrance Test (TANCET) 2026 and Common Engineering Entrance Test and Admissions (CEETA) PG 2026 registration process today, March 16. Prospective candidates can check the registration and exam dates on the official website at tancet.annauniv.edu. The deadline to apply is April 4.
To be eligible for TANCET, candidates must have a bachelor’s degree with at least 50% marks (45% for reserved categories) from a recognised university. Candidates must also have studied mathematics at the class 12 or undergraduate level. There is no upper age limit.
TANCET 2026: How To Apply?
Step 1. Visit the official TANCET website at tancet.annauniv.edu.
Step 2. Click on the registration link once activated and submit the required form.
Step 3. Log in to your account and proceed with the application process.
Step 4. Read the instructions carefully and gather all required documents in advance according to the specified guidelines.
Step 5. Fill in your personal details and educational qualifications accurately.
Step 6. Upload your photograph and signature as per the guidelines.
Step 7. Review all the details you have entered thoroughly.

TANCET, CEETA PG 2026: Application Fee
Candidates belonging to the Scheduled Caste (SC), Special Central Assistance (SCA), and Scheduled Tribe (ST) of Tamil Nadu need to pay Rs 500 as the application fee for the TANCET MCA and TANCET MBA programmes. Unreserved category candidates are required to pay Rs 1000. For CEETA PG, Tamil Nadu applicants need to pay Rs 900 and other state candidates must pay Rs 1800.
TANCET is the entrance exam for admission to MBA and MCA courses in various institutions, including Anna University departments, constituent colleges, Annamalai University, government and government-aided colleges, and self-financing colleges in Tamil Nadu. The exams will be held on May 9. While the CEETA PG exam conducted for M.E., M.Tech., M.Arch., and M.Plan. courses will take place on May 10.
