The Tamil Nadu Public Service Commission (TNPSC) has released the TNPSC Group 2 Recruitment 2025 notification. A total of 645 Group 2 and Group 2A vacancies will be filled through the recruitment drive. Interested and eligible candidates can apply online via the official website tnpsc.gov.in. The application window will close on August 13, 2025.
TNPSC has released the Group-2 and Group 2A examination notification for the posts of Sub-Registrar, Senior Revenue Inspector, Forester, Junior Employment Officer and others. The total vacancies are split between Group 2 (Interview Posts) with 50 vacancies and Group 2A (Non-Interview Posts) with 595 vacancies, summing to 645 vacancies.
An application correction window is available from August 18 to 20, 2025. Admit cards will be released 7 to 10 days before the Preliminary Exam, which is scheduled for September 28, 2025.
To apply, candidates need to visit the official website, register or log in, fill out the application form, upload necessary documents, pay the application fee, and submit the form. They need to be between 18 to 26 years of age.
“Candidates are required to apply online by using the Commission’s website www.tnpscexams.in The candidate needs to register himself / herself first at the One Time Registration (OTR) platform available on the Commission’s website and then proceed to fill up the online application for the examination. If the candidate is already registered, he / she can proceed straightaway to fill up the online application for the examination,” reads the official notice.
TNPSC Group 2 Recruitment 2025: Exam Pattern
This year, the commission has implemented significant changes in the syllabus and exam pattern, including the introduction of General English in the Preliminary Examination and adjustments in the Mains structure.
The selection procedure differs between Group 2 (Interview Posts) and Group 2A (Non-Interview Posts). Group 2 (Interview Posts) has 50 vacancies and involves a Preliminary Examination (Objective Type), a Main Written Examination (Descriptive Type), and an Interview/Personality Test. On the other hand, for Group 2A (Non-Interview Posts). through which 595 vacancies will be filled, candidates will have to appear for a single Written Examination (Objective Type).
