TVS offers the Apache RTR 160 4V in eight variants with prices ranging from Rs 1.16 lakh-1.37 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi). Irrespective of the variant, though, the powertrain remains the same. The motorcycle continues to be powered by a 17.5hp, 14.7Nm, 159.7cc, single-cylinder, oil-cooled engine that’s paired to a five-speed gearbox.
Drum
Rs 1.16 lakh.
The Drum variant is the most affordable version in the line-up, priced at Rs 1.16 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi). As the name suggests, it features drum brakes at both ends, making it the most basic configuration in the range.
RM Disc (Black Edition)
Rs 1.18 lakh.
The RM Disc (Black Edition) sits above the drum variant and is priced at Rs 1.18 lakh. It adds a front disc brake with single-channel ABS, along with an all-black theme that gives the motorcycle a stealthier appearance. The ‘RM’ in the variant name likely denotes the availability of riding modes (from this variant onwards).
Disc
Rs 1.19 lakh.
The Disc variant, priced at Rs 1.19 lakh, commands a premium of Rs 1,000 over the previous variant but features disc brakes at both ends offering improved braking performance compared to the rear drum brake version.
BT Disc
Rs 1.22 lakh.
The BT Disc variant adds Bluetooth connectivity, thereby enabling smartphone pairing and additional ride information through the instrument cluster when paired with the TVS SmartXonnect app. It also unlocks turn-by-turn navigation, and call and message notifications.
Special Edition
Rs 1.24 lakh.
The Special Edition, priced at Rs 1.24 lakh, builds on the BT variant with cosmetic updates, giving the motorcycle a slightly more distinctive appearance with its matte-black paint scheme and chequered-flag stickering.
Dual Channel ABS
Rs 1.26 lakh.
This variant adds dual-channel ABS, which prevents the wheels from locking up under hard braking. It does this by independently modulating braking force at both the front and rear wheels, thereby maintaining stability and steering control during emergency stops.
Dual Channel ABS with USD
Rs 1.29 lakh.
The Dual Channel ABS with USD variant, priced at Rs 1.29 lakh, introduces an upside-down front fork, replacing the telescopic units offered on lower variants. Apart from adding visual appeal, the USD fork should also improve front-end feel and handling.
TFT
Rs 1.37 lakh
The top-spec TFT variant is priced at Rs 1.37 lakh. It features a TFT instrument cluster, borrowed from the TVS Apache RTR 310. The more advanced display adds connectivity features, while also adding a premium touch compared to the lower variants.
