The Basic and Secondary Education Department has activated the application link on its official website, basiceducation.up.gov.in, for eligible candidates who had qualified the 2021 Junior High School Teacher Examination.
The recruitment drive includes openings for Assistant Teachers as well as Headmasters, and the detailed notification was released on 4 November 2025. The application window will remain open until 5 December 2025, while the merit list is expected to be published on 23 December 2025.
Recruitment Details For Assistant Teachers & Headmasters
According to the official UP Junior Aided Teacher Notification 2025, the recruitment process covers:
1,504 posts for Assistant Teachers and 390 posts for Headmasters
These positions are meant for non-government aided junior high schools across the state. The selection procedure involves merit evaluation based on the 2021 Junior High School Teacher exam, followed by a written test and an interview.
For Assistant Teacher posts, candidates must have completed graduation along with BTC or D.El.Ed, and must have qualified the TET.
For Headmaster positions, applicants should hold a B.Ed degree and must possess at least five years of teaching experience in a recognised institution.
Age Limit Criteria
Assistant Teachers: 21 to 40 years (as on 1 July 2025)
Headmasters: 30 to 45 years
