Hyundai India has rolled out the 2026 model-year update for the Verna, priced between Rs 10.98 lakh and Rs 18.25 lakh, ex-showroom. With this, the midsize sedan receives several exterior, interior and safety feature upgrades, helping it better compete with the trio of Honda City, VW Virtus and Skoda Slavia.

The carmaker has also revised the Verna’s variant nomenclature with the latest update, bringing it in line with the new Venue. This includes HX2, HX4, HX6, HX6+, HX8 and HX10.
Updated 2026 Hyundai Verna engine and gearbox options
As before, the Verna continues to offer 115hp, 144Nm 1.5-litre naturally-aspirated petrol and 160hp, 253Nm 1.5-litre turbo-petrol engine options. A 6-speed manual transmission is standard with both engines. The NA motor can also be optioned with a CVT unit, while the more powerful turbocharged engine offers the choice of a 7-speed dual-clutch automatic gearbox.
